DNA Barcoding for Species Identification
Scientists from the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) and Prof. Ramkrishna More College develop India’s first and largest DNA barcode reference library for cockroaches of peninsular India. The development is linked to the use of DNA barcoding for species identification and to documenting cockroach diversity, including a recent DNA-barcoding-based species identification in the Deccan Peninsula.
