YUVIKA Reservation Policy

ISRO opens registrations for YUVIKA 2026, and the Union Minister highlights its role in inspiring school students towards space science careers. The programme focuses on early exposure to space technology and STEM education.

YUVIKA (Young Scientist Programme):

Curriculum	Comprises satellite technology, rocket propulsion, astrophysics, and space missions.
Activities	Comprises model rocketry, simulated satellite payloads, sky gazing, facility visits, and interactions with scientists.
Financial Support	Provides for full funding including study materials, boarding, lodging, and reimbursement of II AC train fare for the student and one guardian.
Reservation	Provides for 15% seats reserved for rural and remote students.
YUVIKA Centres	Comprises VSSC Thiruvananthapuram; URSC Bengaluru; SDSC SHAR Sriharikota; SAC Ahmedabad; NRSC Hyderabad; NE-SAC Shillong; IIRS Dehradun; IPRC Mahendragiri; and RRSC Jodhpur.
