MSME Ministry’s Yashasvini Campaign 2024 to expand awareness of women-focused schemes

The Government informed the Rajya Sabha that more than 3.07 crore women-led enterprises are registered on the Udyam Registration Portal and Udyam Assist Platform. Several MSME schemes support women entrepreneurship through credit access, skill development, market linkage and awareness initiatives.

Government Initiatives Supporting Women Entrepreneurs:

Udyam Registration Portal & Udyam Assist Platform	More than 3.07 crore women-led enterprises are registered, providing formal recognition to MSMEs and enabling access to government support and schemes.
Credit Guarantee Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGS)	Provides collateral-free credit guarantee through the Credit Guarantee Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises. Women-led MSEs receive 90% guarantee coverage (compared to 75% normally) along with 10% fee relaxation.
Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)	Provides credit-linked subsidy to establish micro-enterprises. About 40% of beneficiaries are women, who can receive a higher subsidy of up to 35%.
PM Vishwakarma	Provides basic and advanced skill training with stipend support, entrepreneurial orientation, financial and digital literacy, and marketing support including e-commerce onboarding for artisans and craftspeople.
Coir Vikas Yojana (Mahila Coir Yojana)	An exclusive training programme for women artisans in the coir sector focusing on skill upgradation and livelihood enhancement.
Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI)	Cluster-based support for traditional industries including skill development, digital training, machine handling, product design, and e-commerce onboarding.
Procurement and Marketing Support Scheme	Provides 100% subsidy for women entrepreneurs to participate in trade fairs and marketing events (80% subsidy for others).
Public Procurement Policy for Micro and Small Enterprises	Mandates at least 3% procurement from women entrepreneurs by central ministries, departments, and PSUs within the overall 25% procurement requirement from MSEs.
Yashasvini Campaign (2024)	An awareness campaign launched by the Ministry of MSME to inform and support women entrepreneurs regarding various MSME schemes and benefits.
