Ministry of Education Releases Performance Grading Index (PGI) 2.0 for 2025-26

Top performer (2025-26)	Chandigarh is the top performer, and it is placed in the Uttam-3 grade with 761-820 points.
Delhi (2025-26 placement)	Delhi is placed in the Prachesta-1 grade with 701-760 points.
Meghalaya (score movement)	Meghalaya records a score from 448 to 525.7, and it moves out of the lowest grade.
Gap reduction (States performance difference)	The performance difference among States reduces from 51% (2017-18) to 31.4% (2025-26).
