India’s first functional PM MITRA Park has been inaugurated at Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal. The project is for integrated textile infrastructure, investment promotion, and textile value-chain strengthening.

Connectivity The project is connected through the Nagpur–Vijayawada Greenfield Expressway, NH-163G.
Scheme Integration Textile units benefit from both PM MITRA infrastructure and the Production Linked Incentive Scheme.
5F Vision The PM MITRA Scheme is based on the 5F vision: Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign.
Objective The scheme provides for world-class infrastructure, FDI, local investment, modern technology, and integrated textile manufacturing in one place.
Implementation The scheme is implemented by State and Central Governments in PPP mode through a Special Purpose Vehicle.
Approved Locations 7 parks have been approved in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
Brownfield Support Brownfield parks receive Government of India development capital support of 30% of remaining infrastructure cost, capped at ₹200 crore.
Greenfield Support Greenfield parks receive Government of India development capital support of 30% of project cost, capped at ₹500 crore.
Significance The scheme provides for textile value-chain strengthening, women’s employment, rural development, and environmental sustainability through Zero Liquid Discharge technology.
