Sagarmala Programme

The Sagarmala Programme is progressing with 845 projects under implementation and several completed. The programme focuses on port-led development and improving logistics efficiency in India.

Transport Mode	Provides for promotion of coastal shipping and inland waterways transport.
Institutional Framework	Comprises National Sagarmala Apex Committee, Maritime States Development Council, State Sagarmala Committees, and Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited.
Restructuring	Provides for Sagarmala Development Company Limited restructuring into Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited in June 2025.
