The Ministry of Defence addresses the inaugural session of the 3-day North Tech Symposium 2026 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The event is for indigenous defence technology, industry participation, and future warfare capabilities.

Operation Sindoor	Operation Sindoor demonstrates technological warfare readiness through deployment of indigenous equipment such as BrahMos, Akash Missile System, and Akashteer.
Indigenous Defence Manufacturing	Indigenous defence manufacturing has reached ₹1.54 lakh crore in FY 2025–26.
Defence Exports	Defence exports have reached ₹38,424 crore in FY 2025–26.
Defence R&D Allocation	25% of the defence R&D budget is allocated to industry, academia, and start-ups.
iDEX	Innovations for Defence Excellence provides for technology and innovation development in aerospace and defence through start-ups, MSMEs, and individual innovators.
ADITI Scheme	The ADITI Scheme provides for development of strategic and innovative defence technologies under iDEX.
Technology Development Fund	The Technology Development Fund supports domestic development of products, systems, components, and technologies by start-ups and MSMEs under DRDO.
Transfer of Technology Policy	DRDO has waived the 20% Transfer of Technology fee for Development-cum-Production Partners and Production Agencies.
