Gallantry Awards Conferred by President as Supreme Commander of Armed Forces

Gallantry Awards are conferred by the President, who is the supreme commander of the Armed Forces. The awards are selected through recommendations invited by the Ministry of Defence and are announced twice a year on Republic Day and Independence Day.
